The Hacking for Defense® (H4D) Educators Course is a two and a half day workshop at Texas A&M University that prepares prospective Instructors, DOD Sponsors, and Corporate Partners to take part in the Hacking for Defense course. This is an opportunity to learn the Hacking for Defense methodology with likeminded educators and innovators from across the United States.
Join veteran H4D instructors and recent H4D students in engaging panels, networking events, and interactive exercises. The course content covers teaching and mentoring students in Hacking for Defense, developing student interest in national security issues, and crafting and responding to practical problem statements.
Join us, and become part of the Hacking for Defense movement!
Instructors Instructors can expect to gain an understanding of the H4D curriculum, the underlying Lean LaunchPad Methodology, as well as best practices for running the course. Former problem sponsors will present their experiences working with students and how to successfully manage relationships with DOD Sponsors.
The H4D Educators Course is the only approved program of instruction that satisfies the requirement to teach Hacking for Defense. Government Problem Sponsors For potential Problem Sponsors from across the Interagency, the course provides insight into their role and how to maximize the return on their investment.
Topics include how to support student teams and what to expect from the class, how to submit a problem statement, and how to maximize the potential of a problem being selected by a student team. For Corporate & Industry Partners, this course provides an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the H4D course.
